Over deze cursus
This course prepares BSc students for a BSc thesis at the ENR group. Students are introduced to the core themes of the ENR group: climate change, social-ecological systems, and environmental-economic behavioural choices. Each theme is dealt with in lectures on the economic theory of the topic and in tutorials or computer practical to practice a quantitative analysis tool for this topic, such as bioeconomic models, statistical analysis, or cost-benefit analysis. In addition students write a literature review on a topic of their own choice, which may or may not be related to any of the three core themes.

Apply basic quantitative economic analysis tools to analyze environmental problems
Write a literature review on an environmental-economic topic of their own choice

- Literature for this course will consist of selected reports and scientific articles on the topics selected for the course. The literature, or the references to the literature, will be provided through Brightspace.
