Help

This page answers common questions about orientation and registration on eduXchange. Details about admission and schedules can be found on the websites of the participating institutions.

How eduXchange works

What can I do here?

Browse and register for electives from participating Dutch higher education institutions.

Why should I select my home institution?

It shows the electives you can register for. Anyone can browse, but only students from participating institutions can register.

Where are the academic calendars?

Each institution has its own academic calendar with different start and end dates. Check the institution websites for details.

Where can I find course timeslots?

Timeslots vary per institution. Check the institution websites for details.

How registration works

How do I register for an elective?

Use your eduID to register and approve data sharing between your home and host institution. Don’t have an eduID? Create one here.

What is an eduID?

A personal digital identity for education in the Netherlands. Your eduID is independent of your institution and usable for lifelong learning. Think of it as DigiD for education. Learn more at eduID.nl.

Can I register if I’m not from a participating institution?

No. You can browse as a guest and then check the host institution’s site for other options.

What happens after I register?

You’ll receive a confirmation email from the host institution with next steps.

How do I cancel my registration?

Follow the cancellation steps on the host institution’s website. You cannot cancel via eduXchange.
